We're in a bit of a drought right now in home run props, but you only need one winner in this market to get your mojo back. Here are our three favorite targets to hit a home run on Thursday night.
Pirates vs. Phillies, 6:40 p.m. ET
The Philadelphia Phillies are going to be our favorite team to target with home run props on Thursday night. For one, Pittsburgh Pirates starter Jared Jones is somewhat of a boom-or-bust pitcher. He has swing-and-miss stuff, but he's also given up the highest barrel rate and the fourth-highest hard-hit rate in MLB (Baseball Savant). The wind will also be blowing strongly out to left field at Citizens Bank Park, so we could see multiple homers from this loaded Philly lineup. Let's start with Bryce Harper, who already has three home runs and a .476 slugging percentage in 11 games.
Pirates vs. Phillies, 6:40 p.m. ET
For our second Phillies selection, we're rolling with Brandon Marsh. Surprisingly, Marsh is tied with Harper for the most home runs on the team this season (three). He also leads Philly in slugging percentage (.583) and ranks third in MLB among qualified hitters in hard-hit rate (60.9 percent). Marsh is swinging the bat confidently in 2024, and he's hit all three of his homers against right-handed pitching. This is a great price on a hot hitter.
Orioles vs. Red Sox, 7:10 p.m. ET
Jackson Holliday made his MLB debut on Wednesday night and went hitless with two strikeouts in four at-bats. Now that he got the first-day jitters out of the way, we want to target him with a home run prop. The No. 1 prospect in MLB tore up spring training with a .311 batting average, two home runs and a .600 slugging percentage in 15 games. We're jumping on Holliday before he blows up and his price plummets.
